On September 18, your housing team met to discuss the NHA/Dream Development response to our RFQ. That discussion included setting a date for an interview with them and reviewing in detail their response, which then created some questions to ask them at that interview. Contained within the response was a listing of the companies (architect, construction, and property manager) they contract with and a list of references for both NHA and Dream Development (Stephen McMurtry’s Company). Diane, Dave and Mike are taking parts of those areas and vetting them to be sure that we have reputable, durable, and high-quality companies to deal with for our affordable housing project.
Other topics included: our Governance Board’s gift of $750 to the Land and Housing Coalition – Bonnie, Diane, and Ervin committing to joining efforts to investigate the history of our church property – ideas, desires, and details of the soon-to-be-held all-church meeting to discuss various aspects of the housing project.
Our next meeting will be October 9 which will continue the discussion of the whole church meeting and the interview of NHA/Dream Development.
