It seems almost like yesterday that you got an update from your Housing Team yet, here is another one. Let me explain. The August 13 meeting with NHA+, which you read about on the 14th, added such inspirational information that we felt the need to meet again in two weeks rather than four.
Yesterday, August 27, we discussed these subject headings: a) housing options, which include renting and/or purchasing the units and what mixture of these options would work best, b) more detailed configurations of the church property, c) the needed involvement of the conference in this process, and d) initial discussions of timelines for informing the congregation and community of the final design. As you can see, our time was well spent!
Sadly, we still have no concrete details to share. We are still headed in the direction of affordable housing appropriate for our neighborhood. Our problem is the is the same one Albert Einstein had when he said; “The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know”.
